Privacy notice

Move Health is an initiative led by Dr Christopher Seenan at the University of Stirling. It is not currently a registered company. Dr Seenan is the person responsible for your information (the data controller). You can contact him at christopher.seenan@stir.ac.uk.

This notice explains how we use personal information when you use this website or contact us through it. It does not cover Move Health sessions and events. If we collect information at a session, we give participants a separate notice.

• When you send a message through the contact form: your name, email address, organisation (if you give it), organisation type and your message. We use these to reply to you and to talk about working together.
• When you email us directly: your email address and what you tell us. We use these to reply.
• When you visit the website: our website host's network (Cloudflare) briefly handles your IP address, browser type, the time and the page you asked for. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We do not store or use this information ourselves.
• Typeface: the site loads its typeface from Fontshare, a font service run by the Indian Type Foundry. Your browser connects to their servers to get the font, so they will see your IP address. We do not receive any information from this.

For the contact form, we use your details because you have agreed to this by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw that agreement at any time. For emails you send us directly, we use your details because we have a legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing. Your enquiry is handled by:

• Lovable, which hosts this website and stores form submissions in a secure database in London, UK. Only the site's administrators can read them.
• Lovable's email service, which sends a notification of your enquiry to the University of Stirling email account of Dr Seenan.

We may share your enquiry with colleagues or students who are directly involved in arranging a session, and only where they need it.

Some of our providers, such as Cloudflare and Fontshare, may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards that UK data protection law allows.

We keep contact form submissions and emails for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. If we work together, we keep your details while the work continues and for a reasonable time afterwards. We then delete them.

This website does not set cookies. Your browser holds one temporary item, a scroll position, so the Back button returns you to the right place on a page. It does not identify you and is deleted when you close the tab. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or object to how we use it. To do any of this, contact us at christopher.seenan@stir.ac.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

This website is for adults and organisations. We do not knowingly collect information from children through it.

If we change how we use information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
